The Department of Fine and Performing Arts provides a comprehensive arts education for all students in the Mineola Union Free School District.  We offer an award winning program in music education, visual arts, dramatic arts and dance.

It is our belief, which is codified in the Federal ESSA of 2015, that students deserve a well-rounded education inclusive of study in the arts provided by highly-qualified educators.  The arts play a vital role in the development of students; cognitively, physically, emotionally, and socially.  Our society is full and rich of the arts, an education in the arts to help students to collaborate, create, think critically, and communicate.  These skills will give students the edge they need to succeed in their chosen future.

Above all, we believe that the arts make the world a more beautiful place.  We give our students the tools they need to contribute positively to a global (artistic) society.

We invite you to explore our website, which offers information for the various aspects of arts education, and the archives of our department.
